Why China on an organized circuit?
China is undoubtedly the destination that most justifies the organization of a guided tour. The distances between the stages are considerable (Shanghai and Beijing are more than 1,200 km away), the signage in ideograms can confuse even experienced travelers, and the Great Firewall blocks a large part of the usual digital tools. Note on climatic variants: this guide takes Beijing as the reference city for the climate. The south of China (Guangdong, Fujian) is subtropical and humid, with very hot summers and typhoons. Yunnan benefits from a temperate climate at altitude, pleasant all year round (dry from October to April, some rain from May to September).
